I have been digging around my worm bin yesterday and found a high volume of vermicompost. This stuff is amazing. It looks like my 2012 plants will be getting a super dosage of awesomeness this spring/early summer. My worms on the other hand will need to pick up the pace if i plan on keeping a lot of plants in 2012. I have hens and chickens, a potato plant and plant to have 3-4 flowering plants. I will give each plant aorund 1-2 scoops of vermicompost every 2weeks.That would be around 5-7 scoops of vermicompost every 2 weeks. Or approxamatly 10-12 scoops monthly. I have approxamatly 30-45 scoops in the colony as of now. So i can last 3-3.5 months this year. There will be 7 or so months of growing so thats 70-85 scoops total. I hope the worms can keep up. Espeacilly if i plan to get more then my share of plants this year. Which trust me i probably will. I can't wait for spring its going to be busy as the bees. I have to start A.S.A.P when spring arrives.
